The hydraulic brake system consists of three parts: a vacuum booster, a hydraulic transmission device and a brake. If braking failure or abnormal noise is found during driving, the vehicle should be parked for inspection and cleaned up in time, especially in the transportation of tank trucks and explosive devices.
Defect diagnosis of vacuum booster
First check its tightness. Start the engine, speed up to a medium speed (about 1500r/min), turn off the engine, and quickly raise the accelerator pedal together, so that there is a high degree of vacuum in the engine's intake pipe. After the engine is turned off for about 90 seconds, depress the brake pedal. At this moment, if you can hear a clear "whee" sound near the vacuum booster, lift the brake pedal and step on it again, and you can hear another intake The sound indicates that the vacuum booster is well sealed. Otherwise, the vacuum check valve is not tight, the vacuum pipeline is blocked or leaking, and it should be disassembled and repaired.
After checking the tightness of the vacuum booster, check its operating efficiency. With the engine turned off, depress the brake pedal several times to avoid the vacuum in the booster pump. Then depress the brake pedal again with proper force and keep the brake pedal still. Start the engine at this moment, if you can clearly feel the brake pedal drop for a certain distance, it means that the vacuum booster is working. If you don't feel the brake pedal sink or feel not obvious at the moment the engine starts, it indicates that the vacuum booster has lost its boosting effect and should be further disassembled and repaired.
